Merry Christmas

We put our Christmas tree in our foyer this year so Ty wouldn't attack the tree, ornaments and gifts. He loved getting close when supervised, but never got too wild, which was a surprise since he is such a spirited little boy. It worked out great.

We had a great time watching Ty open gifts this year. He was so excited to tear the wrapping paper, that he took his sweet time opening each gift. We just had to pull out the video camera.

16 months

15 months

Ty is 15 months old and is doing the following things:

smacks his lips when eating something sweet

stands up on his tippy toes

looks at books

rubs food in his hair while eating

eats lima beans & peas like there are none left on the planet

blows kisses

draws on his magna doodle

points to what he wants

plays cars with daddy

jibber jabbers

goes under daddy-made tunnels around the house

takes rides in the laundry basket

plays hide and seek

blinks both eyes closed

plays with kitchen gadgets

Ty had a really bad cold so he didn't go to the trunk or treat or even out to the neighbors. We put on his costume to get a few pictures.

Ty did not want to keep his lion head on...

climbs stairs stealthily

claps his hands together

plays the plug game in the bathtub

watches the cows behind our house

gets excited when he sees other kids

climbs on & off the LoveSac properly

chews on the velcro straps of his shoes

laughs or fusses when mommy says "no"

flosses his teeth with the ribbon on balloons

shakes his head "no" even when he means "yes"

gently places his sippy cup down when done drinking

Allan had his tonsils removed and his uvula clipped. Notice the high tech television. It was more than 20 years old. What a good sport!

happy birthday to me

We celebrated my birthday a couple days early with Allan's mom. She made a delicious roast which I hope to replicate. We had good conversation and enjoyed a tasty cake.

My friend surprised me with the most scrumptious peanut butter cheesecake treats. Thanks Jen, you made my day!

I wanted to go to The Mandarin and celebrate but they were closed. We went to El Matador instead. What a disappointment; it's no wonder we never eat there.

I had a great afternoon with my mom who came down to visit and a fun evening with my boys.

13 months

Is it possible that more than a year has passed since Ty was born?

He is growing up so fast and is curious about everything.
