15 months

Oz is already 15 months old. He has all 16 teeth (all four eye teeth and molars came in at once). Weighing in at 29 lbs.12 oz., he is only 5 pounds less than his older brother of two years. He is 34 inches tall, which is 5 inches shorter than Ty. He is definitely the size of a two year old.

He is so happy! That is, when he is not throwing a brief tantrum. He seems to need a little extra reassurance. He loves to "box out" in order to get what he wants. Though he is a bruiser, he gets awfully fussy if he doesn't get his way. He laughs so easily and is super smiley. He loves waving and saying "hi" to just about everyone, even if they are not close enough to notice.

He is a daddy's boy (which works out since Ty is all about mommy right now). Anytime he hears a noise that might resemble Allan coming home, he runs to the gate and says, "daddy!" He has mastered the sound of an elephant; that was also Ty's first animal sound. He is so good about signing and saying "more." He shakes his head yes or no when asked if he wants something. He loves bath-time (what kid doesn't?) and playing outside.

3 candles

For your birthday treat, we ordered a spider man cake. I really wanted to make one, but somehow the week filled up with so many activities. I think we'll skip the cake next year, because you were way more interested in the ice cream. You are totally my son; ice cream is my favorite too!

You even got a big wheel and helmet.

You weigh 34 lbs. 6 oz. and are 39 inches tall.
You are so sweet, fun, creative, and have lots of energy.
Happy, happy birthday Ty!

Three at the Zoo

Happy Birthday Ty!
For your birthday morning activity, we went to the zoo and saw lots of wild animals.

Grammy was in town, so she came too.
First, we stopped at the elephants.

Then, we saw some silly birds lounging in a nest.

We spent quite some time watching the polar bear swim.

Oz was able to "pet" some grizzly bears.

You used our camera to take some pictures.
Not sure what kind of animal this is; we couldn't find a plaque.

Daddy took you on the carousel and you got to ride a sea lion.

You even had a very special lion drink.
We love you so much buddy! Thanks for a super fun day!
