Restful Night

Last night was the best rest I have had since Ty was born. Since he is a spirited baby, I won't expect him to sleep so well again. If he does, it will be a pleasant surprise. He went to bed at 8:30pm and woke up for a diaper change at 11:30pm. He didn't wake up again until 5:30am to eat. He went back to bed and woke up at 8:15am. I feel like a new person. Thanks for sleeping so well Ty!

shorts

It's finally nice weather to wear shorts. The shirt says Big Al's Construction. Ty has discovered the art of rolling over and slithering like a snake. We are told it won't be long before he starts crawling.

cute laugh

While taking a walk this afternoon to Target, Ty pleased us with an adorable ah-ha laugh for most of the trip home. It made me laugh so hard, my face hurt. It's so fun to observe Ty as he discovers new things, like his voice.

8 months

Ty is 8 months young today. He is much better at sitting up as long as he remains focused. He has an infectious laugh and sweet disposition. He loves to play the "drop" game, especially with his toys and binki in the car. We love our little Ty guy!

Ty likes to:
ride on daddy's shoulders & fly like a plane
play in his ExerSaucer
lunge forward for objects like the remote control
play, laugh and hug mommy
knock his fist on things, especially when it makes noise

Ty is fascinated with:
his hands
mommy's hair
anything shiny
baby signing time
the noise of a crinkled plastic bag

my two front teeth

Ty's bottom teeth have been coming in for a while now, and he loves to feel them with his tongue. He also likes to bite my fingers; his way of letting me know how sharp they are. Is this a guarantee of getting what he wants? Perhaps. His right tooth is visible and his left one finally poked through his gums two weeks ago. It must be a painful process. Poor little Ty guy!
We miss you Grammy!
