my happy day

Today was such a wonderful day! Allan took the day off work so we could celebrate my birthday. We took the boys to breakfast at the Original Pancake House. I ordered Eggs Benedict. Yum!

Later, we enjoyed a tasty dinner at Zupas. We love this restaurant! It is the one place where the boys eat really well, consistently. We all shared the best tasting salted caramel pudding. Wow, it was good!

Though there are many women who might be angry about getting a vacuum for their birthday, I was quite ecstatic. For those who really know me, know that I love to clean. I am aware that it's unusual, but it's calming. Plus, I love having a clean house. Allan got me a cordless stick vacuum for our tile and wood floors. It's so nice. I have been using a dust mop, which works somewhat, but does not get all the little crumbs. Oh happy day! I love you with all my heart handsome. Thanks for making today so special!

I never understood the amount of love a parent has for their child until I had Ty and later Oz. This love continues to grow everyday. I am so blessed to have two sweet, energetic, adorable boys.

Apple Orchard

Today was Ty's first field-trip in preschool. We went to a local apple orchard. It was cute watching him climb the ladder to pick apples for our family. He got to pick an extra one because he was last in line. I made sure he let the girls in his class go first; it's important to me that he learns to be a gentleman early in life.

visit with gran pappy

We visited Allan's dad in Idaho. We don't make it up there very often, but we want to get better at that.

The boys loved petting and holding the cute kitten. He was so soft and cuddly. Don't worry, my opinion has not changed; we will not be getting a cat...ever.

First Day of Preschool

Today was Ty's first day of preschool. The parents got to stay, which was nice because being a parent with a child in school (even if it is just preschool) is a new experience for me. I must admit that I have been feeling so many emotions lately, but I know this is going to be such a great experience for Ty.

This is the little paper doll that Allan created to look like Ty. I love having an amazingly artistic husband! We got to decorate a book bag using paint, which was fun until Ty shed some tears. He did not want to stop painting.
