A day with Kassie

My niece Kassie took the day off school to spend with us.

Ty loved having a playmate; they climbed around in tunnels and went down slides.

Thanks for making it such a fun day!

Kassie built a cool fort of waffle blocks for Ty. 

Other kids thought it was so cool, she made it bigger so they could join in on the fun too.

The Beach

It was a beautiful day in Santa Cruz, though a tad bit windy to play long.

Grammy was the keeper of our things, so they didn't blow away.

"I've got my bucket and shovel, now I'm off to do some digging."

Happy 1st birthday!

My sweet sister got the cutest balloons for Oz. Thanks for helping make this a special day!

I am grateful that my mom, sister and niece were around to celebrate with us.

We enjoyed dinner at BJ's restaurant, and red velvet cake & ice cream at my sister's.

Oz didn't want to get messy with his cake and wasn't interested in eating any either.

He was just like Ty when he turned one - neat & clean.

A Day at Happy Hollow

We spent the day at Happy Hollow; a park and zoo geared for kids. 

Don't be fooled, we all had as much fun if not more than the boys.

Oz discovered how much fun it is to ride on daddy's shoulders.

We know it's not a pig; we think it's a capybara.

Oz's first carousel ride. He was uneasy, but he made it through the entire song.

San Francisco Aquarium

We visited the Aquarium of the Bay in San Francisco. It is much smaller than the Monterey Bay Aquarium, but was the perfect size for our little guys and their short attention spans.

Ty was not only interested in the fish, but in the signs too.

We had a great time with Grammy.

Family Time

We went to California for my niece's high school graduation. I sure miss the almost perfect weather of my home state. We enjoyed a BBQ at my sister's house and even watched the eclipse. Is it possible to get a good picture when everyone is looking at the camera?
