Happy St. Patrick's Day!

seven months

Ty is 7 months big and such a happy, cuddly baby. He makes a lot of faces, as you can see in this picture. He even has a similar hairstyle as his grandpa. Ty is getting a little better at sitting up, but still needs more practice. We have no complaints because we are proponents of delayed mobility. A visit from grammy and grandpa made this an extra special day. We love you Ty!

binki and rolling over

Ty is able to take his binki out of his mouth and put it back in properly, though he struggles on occasion. He really likes to chew on any part of the pacifier.

He rolled over this week from his back to his tummy, which means it will probably be a while before he can do it consistently. Once he learns that he can get around by rolling, I'm sure he will get into everything.

six poops & a drink

Saturday was the day of 6 poopy diapers; 4 of which were blowouts. It felt like we spent all day cleaning up Ty and his clothes. Oh, the joy of being parents. We have heard that some babies who are about to get teeth have more poopy diapers than usual. We are not sure if there is a correlation or if it's a coincidence, but last night we noticed Ty's bottom gums were swollen. Poor little guy!

We decided to see if Ty would drink from a sippy cup. He was able to hold onto it, but did not understand what he was supposed to do with the milk inside. We will have to try again when he is not so hungry.

Christmas in February

Here are some photos from December. Ty was four months old and would grab onto the wrapping paper. He knew what to do. We got him an ExerSaucer, which was the best gift ever. He still loves it.

All I wanted for Christmas last year was six hours of uninterrupted sleep. My wish came true last night when I slept from 10:00 pm-4:00 am. I woke up in a panic as all new moms must when their baby sleeps through the night. Ty went down around 8:00 pm and woke up at 5:00 am. This was no surprise to us because he always wakes up in the 5th hour of the morning. Nine straight hours of sleep is a record for Ty. He even went back to bed after an early morning meal, waking up at 7:30 am. I could get used to this schedule.
