Ty went to nursery for the first time today. He did great! We weren't too concerned because he loves being around other kids. He is always happy to play.

San Diego

We went to San Diego to celebrate my mom's 65th birthday.

Here are some things we did:

went to the beach

watched Ty have fun play

in the sand & water

visited the zoo

Ty spent most of his time

on daddy's shoulders, a much

better view than in his stroller

took walks by the beach

visited the Hotel del Coronado

18 months

Ty's new favorite word is "bathtub"

He also says cup, garbage, door, bowl, spoon, drink, cool, duck, dog and go

He likes to run with his hands behind his back like he is flying

He is finally starting to sleep better at night, phew!

Dad put locks on all the bathroom cabinets when he found

out that I could climb through one to get to the others

I figured out how to climb inside my block box

Some more things I can do:

eat with a spoon & fork

drink out of a straw

drink out of my cup in the bathtub

climb on everything

answer a toy phone

point to things I want

show you my head & bellybutton

spin around

doodle with crayons and pens

say "up," "Jesus," "opps," "mmm," "baby," "we," and "ball"

I began taking only one nap, so it has been quite an adjustment for me, but mostly mom. I am still unpredictable when it comes to eating, but fruits & veggies are still my favorite. I sometimes struggle when getting in my car seat, but that's when mom bribes me with junior mints.

Merry Christmas

We put our Christmas tree in our foyer this year so Ty wouldn't attack the tree, ornaments and gifts. He loved getting close when supervised, but never got too wild, which was a surprise since he is such a spirited little boy. It worked out great.

We had a great time watching Ty open gifts this year. He was so excited to tear the wrapping paper, that he took his sweet time opening each gift. We just had to pull out the video camera.

"Thanks for the blocks grammy; I especially love to climb on the box!"
